Managing the claims process is an integral part of the service offered by IAFS Advisers. Your adviser will help to ensure the claims process is as simple and hassle free as possible for you. Every claim received will be handled promptly and efficiently to guarantee your claim can be processed in a timely manner.
The Claims Process
What you need to do
- Check your PDS and Policy schedule to determine what you are covered for.
- Notify your adviser of your intention to make a claim by:
- Phone
- Email
- Online Notification Form - Your adviser will liaise with the Insurance company on your behalf and send you the relevant insurers claim forms.
- Complete the forms and return to your adviser along with any supporting documentation you have which may help your claim - The more information you are able to provide, the better your chance of making a fast, successful claim.
- Your adviser will follow up the claim for you and let you know whether there is anything further required.
In the event that your claim is successfully paid out, you should make a time to meet with your adviser and discuss the various implications of receiving a payout. Your adviser will be able to provide advice on how to best maximise the use of the funds for your individual financial situation.
